Green Apple Map
To raise awareness of environmental issues affecting urban and rural communities, the Green Map System publishes and encourages the creation of maps that identify points of ecological significance in graphic form. As the local New York project of the global Green Map organization, Green Apple Maps range in scope from neighborhood-scale maps to charts of the entire New York City region and highlight a wide variety of features and themes, such as green space and gardens, local food and education options, energy and issues of power, fuel, and conservation, alternative transportation choices, along with historic and cultural landmarks.
